Right of withdrawal

Consumers generally have fourteen days from conclusion of the contract to withdraw without giving reasons.

Send an unambiguous declaration to the contracting party named in the checkout and order confirmation. Sending it before the deadline is sufficient.

Digital content

The right may expire early only when all statutory requirements are met, including separate express consent, acknowledgement of the loss and confirmation on a durable medium.

Model information

State the ordered product, order date, name, address, purchase email, order or transaction number and the date of the declaration.

Effects of withdrawal

Following an effective withdrawal, payments received are refunded in accordance with the law without undue delay and no later than fourteen days after receipt of the declaration, using the same payment method unless otherwise agreed.

Digital content and immediate performance

The right of withdrawal does not lapse merely because of a download. For digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, it may lapse only after performance has begun, you expressly consented beforehand to performance before the period ends, acknowledged the loss of the right, and received the contract confirmation on a durable medium.

Cancellation is different

Withdrawal concerns entering into the contract. Ordinary or extraordinary cancellation ends an ongoing subscription only for the future. The cancellation function remains available after a download.

Durable-medium confirmation

The order confirmation records the applicable contract versions and your separate declarations on early performance and possible loss of the withdrawal right. Receipt of an electronic withdrawal is confirmed promptly by email.
